It's always pretty easy to look at one or two lucky cases and imagine how much more you could be doing or whatever, but if you are that cosplayer then what you are doing should already speak for itself. I have zero skill in makeup and fashion design so that's all pretty beyond me but I'm just doing what works for me anyways and respect those making bank off other stuff. If what you're doing is still working despite that then you just haven't done it long enough to get "more attention" over it.
If that makes any sense, idk. This is a shitty place to talk advice in but hope that's something.
