You are witnessing the rapid decline of trust in democratic-republican systems worldwide, right this very moment, and are acting like they're permanent installations for the foreseeable future? No government that conspires against its own citizens has a mandate to do anything, they're going to topple faster than you think.
I've never advocated for a power vacuum at all, just traditional and realistic power systems that don't create a massive elite/managerial/bureaucratic class that want power for power's sake, not to achieve great things. I think you do a little too much projection of your own lazy, sick worldview, some of us actually DO relish in great things.
