>Today, all it takes for some schizo is to suck up to a mod on irc and pay him a kickback to be allowed to haunt the fucking threads forever.
And WHY do you think they do this, anon? Could it be for attention? The attention that the other anon recommended NOT giving said schizos?
>no bro schizos are just CUHRAAZY they have NO REASON to shit up threads at all
I can probably count on one hand how many this actually applies to. The reality is schizos aren't that different than your average troll, at the end of the day. Their tactics might be different, but their goal is the same: Attention. They crave it. Give it to them, and they will do everything in their power to obtain more of it.
>What is needed is proper moderation and nothing else will suffice.
You do realize that there's zero reason why both moderation and not responding to shit threads wouldn't work?
>but muh history muh power structures
Anon, for fuck's sake. We're not talking about the Roman empire or some shit, we're just talking about some nigger shitting up a Mongolian basket weaving forum. The rules are not the same. The hypothetical nigger in question cannot reach through the monitor and assault you, or steal your goods. If he could, we'd be having a very different conversation. The only power they have over you, the ONLY tangible thing that they get out of ANY interaction with other anons here on 4chan is simply: Attention. That's all they want. That's the only reason why they do literally anything here. Cutting that off is more than half the battle. Actual moderation is absolutely required, I agree. But we have to do our part. We can't just say:
>Oh, well not giving them attention won't work, might as well let other anons give the schizos (You)s who cares lol
And expect things to get better with moderation alone. Both what the other anon said and what you're saying is true, but the onus is still mostly on us, the users, to try and make the board a better place.
