Just came back from a first time visit of "that" province in China since I've always wanted to visit. And I'll just say this: the landscapes and monasteries are gorgeous, but the bureaucratic tension, altitude, sovless Chinese architecture honestly turned me off. Had a great time but probably won't visit anytime soon.
