Orcs in Tolkien are factory slave caste, living in darkness under an eternal smog for an overbearing, perfectionist, micromanager with an inferiority complex. They're meant to be wageslaves working for smog producing factory owners. They even speak like lower class Bongs. They're cruel, petty and low IQ. They fear the sun and would rather everyone be miserable than be happy themselves.
