This is your main argument that you repeat across multiple threads. I’m no philosopher, but I read Plato’s Republic, where he made an argument about having to exile poets due to them propagating crime through fiction, regardless of how it’s portrayed. My counterargument was that they:
1) Provided an outlet for people to vent their frustrations;
2) Simulated an isolated case with the emotions associated with it.
People are capable of self-reflection. With an artistic work, they can easier understand themselves and the situations they’re in, as well as how other people would behave in their place. Plus, they would adapt to the emotions and desires they themselves felt and overcome them quicker in the future.
Again, I’m not educated in philosophy. If you want to seriously argue about this further, try your luck on /lit/. Just take your meds beforehand and don’t type like you usually do.

Nope. You gave the global context, but you never said how you personally came to believe that. In fact, you failed to address half of my arguments with anything beyond “it’s evil”. Now I’m also interested to hear why you focus so much on rape and why the argument of “harmless fantasies” is such a sore spot for you.
