Ngl, Dragonite was a miss. They had the opportunity to create a cool, rare dragon pokemon that would get kids everywhere begging eachother to find one and they made this barney-esque design instead. I don't even care that it evolved from two serpentine pokemon and people wished that it's final evo was more consistent. I guess they didn't want to usurp Charizard in the same but even still, why make a design that's very similar to it only to end not be as popular or marketed? Dragonite could've been so much more for being the first dragon type final evolution.
