You're a dummy for not getting the context but that the whole "wife bad" thing in crime dramas isn't rooted in sexism because this show is the intentional inversion where the wife is an impulsive violent greedy sociopath (with pretensions of "it's all to provide for my family") and the husband is a whiny bitchy judgmental wet blanket that longs for normalcy and sure enough the wife's more likeable than the husband

Of course being a more female brained narrative they also cuck each other; shortly after she Breaks Bad™ Hendricks goes to confront her husband's mistress seemingly set to kill her, but upon discovering the girl is an absolutely tragically stupid bimbo she instead gives her $5,000 and encouragement to take a bus to Hollywood and become an actress. I'm aware this probably ends with the mistress in porn/raped but you can actually see Hendricks' murder boner fading while she's talking to her so I think this was her idea of being merciful toward a woman she had seriously intended to dump in the river a few minutes earlier

In turn Hendricks cheats on hubby with a Mexican gangster and in spite of having a torrid passionate love/hate affair with him, it becomes clear that she would readily shoot the spic in the fucking face to protect hubby
