Recently reviewed every single TV anime and OVA between 1990 and 1999 to pick some for a marathon. Was stunned to see how few new shows there were per season, sometimes as low as just one, for the entire decade. We have more new anime every season now than entire years had in the 90s (even including OVAs). Oh and basically everything was 2+ cours.

Really made me think about various things.
