Why don't you bring up all the mistakes that Sega of America did? Like pushing for the 32x, the mistaken belief that the Sega Genesis alone would continue to pull the same numbers it did in 1992 in 1996. Manufacturing so much inventory that much of it would go unsold. Investing a bunch of money in game studios and FMV games for the Sega CD that never panned out. Tom Kalinske was asked to resign for not restructuring the company.

The fact of the manner is that Sega was never a well ran company on either side of the pacific, and nothing highlights that more then the poor communication between top management, the Saturn development team, and the arcade development team. The arcade side saw the 3D trend coming, the others didn't, or did, but there was nothing they could do about it until it was too late. The idea that Sega downfall comes from Sega of Japan intentionally sabotaging the American branch out of jealously is pure revisionist bs by a former Sega employee trying to make himself sound better then he actually was, especially given how often Sega of Japan would bend the knee to Sega of America demands.
