I have no idea if it'll snowball more later, as all the footage I had seen along with my own experience thus far were able to get 7 to 8 life pieces. Bombs are a little better & more plentiful especially with the right assist, but the point above still remains. You don't leave Stage 3 in the hard trifecta with 2 extra lives, in fact you can cap lives in 2 of them by the end of the Stage 3. Unless i've missed some development, this could get scary.
