Whenever asked about wanting to stop, she basically says "manga is fun". In a joint interview in 2021, she suggested that Itagaki (Baki's writer) die at his desk after saying her usual stance. However, she has also said that Mao might be her last manga (or maybe just her last series?). Of course, those two ideas aren't mutually exclusive.
