Example of a reductive argument: 2D sprite cutscenes are "the exact same equivalent" of 3D models standing around and doing nothing. I mean, it's obviously not exact, at minimum. I feel any rational person should see that. Is it even proximal, I wonder?
Well, for one thing, the 2D sprites are rather purposefully animated during cutscenes in Jugdral. Whereas 3H/Engage/Fates/Awakening models are just kinda hanging out there, with no real choreography. So no, I don't even think they're even approximately similar.

You also call things you don't like "cheap" or say "it's just the best they could." Do you suppose Genealogy was a "cheap" game for its time? You think there is nothing aesthetically intentional in the game, it's all just a series of impoverished ecisions? You honestly believe that?
