I have a chance to pursue a career that I don't want in a city I don't care about and I only have to leave my whole life behind. I refused and my entire family was immensely disappointed in me because they say I need to improve and grow. I deeply regret my career choice, because while I enjoy the theory and handiwork, I hate the business part of it and that's the most important part of it because that's what makes the money. Also I'm 30 and a virgin but honestly I don't care. I've had plenty of opportunities to change that but I always decided to pursue my dream girls instead of settling for the ones that liked me and it obviously never worked out. I've given up on love, real love doesn't exist nowadays anyway. And even if it does it's extremely short lived. However all complaining aside, I'm having fun playing video games and physical card games in my free time and that makes me happy. And for me the most important thing in life are those small joys.

So anon I want to tell you one thing. If you're happy that means you've done something with your life. You found your happiness. Many people go and chase careers and dreams that they can never achieve, living in self inflicted misery. 99.99% of people on earth aren't remembered by history, that's why it's important to simply embrace your momentary happiness. The fact that you're excited about death stranding 2, the steam sale, the ufc fights and everything else, makes you a bigger winner than most people on earth, who only live in anxiety and fear of the future. Just think about that next time you get those sad thoughts. Don't let them win. Defend the only thing that matters in life, your satisfaction. You only get one life after all.
