it could just be broadcasting rights, i think the redub was speculation. i looked the company up and they mostly just seem to buy IPs, was wrong when i said they were a production company
the merch is particularly interesting because at first they were just using s1 art (some of it like pic related is korean iirc, it looks like the same style) but then they moved onto the plushies which is a super weird choice
