Since there's so much "pixel art" out there, you might have to use stuff like vibes to move it into the specific kind of pixel art you want, but it's certainly not incapable.
Now is it capable of doing "pure" pixel art where all the pixels are perfect - probably not. Diffusion doesn't really work for that. I think there's tools that can turn an image into pixel art that you could use to "purify" it?
