yeah your right, most routes deriving from not saving her is really sad that it does confirm her self esteem views
here's hoping dlc touches upon her insecurities again and lets us give her another ending where she can be happy and protect her smile, whether that be letting herself drop the act, getting friends, or a partner

Speaking of expendable, it does make me think outside of sabotage theory, if they purposely made a few units that were meant to be fodder like Kyoshika along with Darumi to die instead of more impressive soldiers. Cause Darumi sure as hell didn't have any motive for returning "home".

I think I heard people say the SDU were prematurely sent out and were initially meant to reach an adult stage first. So maybe the scientists were planning on giving her a motive that would have happened during her early adult years had she reached that phase, such as actually finding a friend or partner
