Basically yes, you're training for multiple purposes
1. Stadium team
2. PvP events that will come later
3. Good legacies so your veterans become parents for new trainees (rank and stats barely matter for this, just luck)
At some point your uma's parents and your support cards will improve so much that career runs will become trivial. Current day is the toughest this game will ever be.

I dont think this shit works
Focusing on supports spreads your stats out so fucking thin
And new players just wont have access to skills for the most part
