I did the same thing. No degree. Buckled down and learned cybersecurity through books and online. I know more than the guys who got degrees in it.

Started interviewing and talked my way into a job by knowing more than the guys interviewing me. One time I literally explained encryption schemes in detail and various attacks methods and prevention.
