Caine didn't force them to get into the game, they did on their own volition or out of curiosity and being stuck in there is not his fault either although I'll give it to you that he MIGHT be retaining some information on how to get out because he "needs" performers for the circus/adventures and they are the most he can get until they abstract (which, as far as we know is the second way out)

I personally doubt that is really the case and it's a really inescapable situation to be stuck in the circus so whatever life they left is gone for good. Zooble's complaining isn't even about being stuck with Caine, their whole criticism is that he sucks at his job and it's making their already ruined lives more miserable by forcing them to larp out his shitty worldbuilding fantasy games
