I played vermintide like 6 years ago, if my memory doesn't betray me and they didn't changed it, all the "good stuff" only gets unlocked at later powerlevels anyway so it doesn't even matter
play recruit to learn the game, the chest you get are as good as the other ones but they cap out at 100 powerlevel, when you reached that its time to switch to higher levels
no one will realy expect anything from you there, most people don't even call when they go for books, btw, use the time to learn where the books are
