The story might as well have not existed. In fact I earnestly rate that as the strongest element of it. Every single memory I have of FFTA2 was some kind of battle or the silly auction system. The fact that I still remember Cinqueler as a concept despite having not touched this game in seven years is the specific reason I will swear by A2 being the best. Games with nice stories have you remembering the narrative that guided you along, games with excellent gameplay make you forget or simply not care about the story.
