It's still just a probability machine. If what you want to code has been done a million times on github, it can probably provide you that answer you'd also probably get from Stack Overflow in the same time, this time without learning anything in the process, good for you.
But unless there's a major revolution in chaining all the different black boxes together, or someone goes through the effort to decode and understand the goddamn things (gasp) OR we finally admit we have to first understand our own brains better in order to come closer to emulating them, that'd be a fairer assessment of the situation.
