I knew people who talked about how they enjoy the idea of "super humans" who could basically become at the very peak of something, either strength or knowledge or anything like that by themselves alone without any kind of religion or spiritual belief to "hold them back" and how they believe or hoped we could just "get over religion" cause they somehow think if we stopped relying on it, we would be able to 'unlock our full potential' and they quite literally happened to be the most fucking miserable of people possible.
All types of various issues like either health related, or in relationships with family and others and would generally just do nothing but fucking completely about everything the whole time and never actually try and do anything to improve or help themselves, yet still the dissonance kicked in when they would just act all smug and as if they knew better than religions people on how things should be done and run.
They had this type of fantasy of Ubermensch fantasy, but they themselves were as far as possible from it with absolutely no chance to get there and no will to do so either. It's genuinely retarded and weird to witness that level of delusion, and then end up being called the delusional one when you adhere to religious practices and beliefs. At least I get things done, have hope for the future and a strong will to just keep going forward and get things done. You quite literally have nothing but your own pride to try and soothe you down, which it doesn't. If anything, it just keeps on further fueling your misery before it loops you back to the start of everything and you realize you never made any progress towards anything.
