The destinction between progressives and conservatives:

Conservatives have a realistic understanding of humanity's animalistic tendencies and compulsions, but they also understand that humanity is fully capable of abstaining from animalistic compulsion with guidance, discipline, and purpose. Conservatives have a legitimately higher standard for society with the added understanding that discipline is necessary for social evolution and structure.

Progressives hold the deluded belief that humanity is just inherently benevolent and that any negative outcomes are the result of unreasonable social pressure/expectations and that any standards of human behavior that exclude and shame degeneracy and corruption are arbitrary and actually contribute to further corruption or are some sort of projection of internal conflict with personal corruption and degeneracy. The old "oh, you're arachnophobic? You must really want to fuck spiders.." fallacy.

So, rather than building a societal scaffolding of discipline and shame that positively reinforces positive values and disincentivizes negative behaviors to prevent corruption, progressives just believe in abolishing shame and social standards and letting the chips fall where they may because they are fully fucking retarded from decades of consuming goyslop Hollywood propaganda that undermines intuition and instinct.
