>Alpha” and “Omega” Hunt Teams – In the Global War on Terror the CIA teamed up with JSOC to form secret “hunter-killer” squads. For example, so‑called Omega Teams were joint CIA–JSOC teams that hunted high‑value terrorists in Afghanistan/Pakistan/Yemen during the 2000s
(An earlier CIA “Team Alpha” insertion on 9/11 included officer Mike Spann, who was killed that fall – the first US combat casualty in Afghanistan) These teams combined CIA case officers with Delta and SEAL operators for covert target capture/elimination.
