In the recently published japanese interview with Kinoko Nasu (Writer and co-founder of Type-moon/Fate franchise) x Shaoji (Honkai series writer), Naus admits he's been playing Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail since release. He acknowledges the cultural impact of HoYoverse on Japan. He even admits HoYoverse's development teams and games are the best among the gacha industry.

Kinoko Nasu also states there are ZERO plans to move FGO or any future gacha games into 3D development. He goes on to talk about the "developmental environment" in Japan just isn't at that level.
