I use to fly to Madison for work sometimes (Epic conference out in Verona) and as a New Yorker I think they punch above their weight for their food scene. My favorite place was probably Paul's Pel'meni although I also loved Himal Chuli and Heritage Tavern.

Got some cheese at Brennan's, too, they had some 12-year-aged cheddar that was really good.
