Not gonna lie lads, I'm fucking disappointed like I haven't been in a while. I legitimately had high hopes for this shit - Anno is a great mecha director, Tsurumaki proved himself with an amazing Diebuster (which was only 6 episodes, mind you), and I love Take's character designs ever since she started working on Pokemon. This was supposed to be an easy home run, a modern Gundam story set in a familiar-but-different UC world, channeling that old Tomino spirit, but with modern sensibilities (not relying so much on WW2-era imagery). How the fuck did they ruin everything so much? Who the fuck thought that this obsessive memberberry bullshit was at all palatable to anyone other than the crustiest of oldfags? Where the fuck is my Gundam story?
