I have a pretty similar view to yours, I just figured maybe some of the good memories could be brought up, perhaps. Realized too late that I'm supposed to be asleep by now and won't have the time for a full fledged conversation like that though, and by the time I'm up this thread will reach bump limit and it'll be back to square one talking about brain damage.

Non-canon is a good way to put it, but just so you can spare yourself the disappointment - don't actually hope for anything to come in November. Somewhere in a parallel universe where he actually did this as a jest, that universe's version of you will consider it a pleasant surprise. In the rest, though, it'll just be extra disappointment.
