In my opinion the combination of sexual appeal and the dramatic and schizophrenic storyline complemented each other to make it quite the game that could reach your heart in one way or another and make you compelled to care. It had the right amount of both sillyness, seriousness, and sexy stuff in a way that it resembled human relations enough that it was quite entertaining for a human to play (Since the interesting part of human relations are sex, survival, and socializing like doing silly stuff). Its a fatal error to simply remove one aspect of it in my opinion because it makes it seem way less real, and it gets away from its originally appealing aesthetic.

Some of these demons are so vile and cruel, that killing them is a legitimate moral thing to do, yet the game still outright treats you as a monster and calls you out on it if you do so. To add insult to injury, in the genocide ending the MC gets possessed by the actual secret super villain of the game, and fucks up the whole world.
Basically, the game slaps you across the face if you try to do anything but take pity on the monsters, even despite all the atrocities they have committed (with some monsters like the Arachne outright telling you that once this all blows over, they'll continue to hunt and devour humans).

Miss Darkrage is wonderful, I like it a lot as well, though my number 1 pick is Thieves because of how well it represents the encounters it accompanies.

Speaking of the unencrypted game and the writing changes, do any of you gentlement think there might have been at least some improvements in the newer version? I did think Ada's relationship progression with Jeremy ended up being smoother, Tonika's flirty advances being less drawn out and arbitrary (that "Oh I'm just hallucinating in a dream" thing was just way too silly) also felt kinda refreshing. I also liked how Jeremy was a tad more assertive this time around. Ruza's changes were awful, granted, the choices should probably come back, too. Possibly some of the less invasive raunchyness, like that nymph talking about playing hide and seek or the two logger pixies offering to get in the sack with Jeremy before getting scared off by Ada. I think those were cute moments without being excessively horny.
If it comes to pass that some unhinged anonymous posters actually do end up trying to salvage the game and making the third chapter themselves, do any of you think at least a few small bits of the changes from Evil Stroj would be beneficial to include? Or would you rather if the game stuck to the pre-update formula 101%.

I've been following the project for a few years, since a little after ch.1 was first dumped, I think. I don't know what I can say that's nice, honestly.
The game feels like a promise that's never going to be fulfilled now. I was interested in seeing some resolutions for all of those characters because despite the game being rough around the edges, it had real charm and actually made me care what happens to them for a while. I wanted to see what might happen - how Ruza could be dealt with (or if there was even a possibility she could come to terms with the rest of the world and not be a bitch anymore), and what that kind of fallout a confrontation with her might have for the others, particularly Moxy.
I kinda thought the cliche animu-esque stuff was a little too on the nose, but at the same time it was nice to see the characters just having fun in between bouts of horrible shit. I think Ada was my favourite character. Even if romance routes were never advertised to be a thing, I wanted to see her get a happy ending.
Now it just feels like I shouldn't have bothered caring because by the dev's own admission the characters were apparently always intended to just be abandoned without resolution for any of them. Who the fuck wants to get themselves engrossed in a rugpull story?

I hardly believe it because the last chapter was made as a "fuck you" to the fans and this abrupt change just shows that the dev doesn't want to conclude the story how he originally wanted.
Personally I consider this non canon because it was too quickly cobbled together

Non-canon is a good way to put it, but just so you can spare yourself the disappointment - don't actually hope for anything to come in November. Somewhere in a parallel universe where he actually did this as a jest, that universe's version of you will consider it a pleasant surprise. In the rest, though, it'll just be extra disappointment.
