I don't think the issue is with Americans VAs. It's just that the kind of people the Japanese companies hire are pretty cheap and amateur in comparison to the high profile Japanese VAs they hire.
I mean compare Bamham to your Japanese games with English dub. It blows out of water completely because the game features big name actors like Mark Hamil
