thats like the main reason brand flexing died, everyone knows you can get indistinguishable clones of designer stuff for 10% of the price from china. even with the tariffs they just triangle ship to a middleman country lol.
it used to be a thing only internet nerds knew about but youtubers and tiktokers blew up the spot. the new meta is having quality clothes and a good silhouette. the younger guys are going back to like y2k, 80s shit and all that was similar in fundamentals with the stuff these /tip/ guys wear.
i don't dress anything like most of these /tip/ guys but we wear a lot of the same garments bc the shit they wear is nice. they're more business casual to a bit formal. i dress more like a chud from the same time period.
mid century menswear shit isn't the fashion zeitgeist right now they're doing modified y2k and some 80s shit etc but as far as fundamentals go classic menswear shit is really similar in shape fit and the fundamentals, just not as exaggerated. it looks good to wear right now and will for around a decade (outside of its timelessness factor) if you're not in a city that lags in fashion. outside of the timelessness of it.
