although technically the highest tier monsters yield the most anomaly points (the more targets in the quest, the less available carts, the tighter the time limit, the better), you'd be better off hunting whatever you feel like so as not to burn the fuck out super fast
just make sure to do investigations within 20 levels of your own research level so you can, you know, get points for it
