Shadowverse is so wack I don't even think pic related could work as a control win con.
Imagine a creature with the following.
- Deal attack damage first in clashes
- Ward
- Excess damage dealt to a follower hits the leader
- Drain
- When targeted by any spell or ability negate it unless the player pays seven life
