The modern complainers think this is some kind of new unified opinion, whereas anyone who has played this game since ARR has probably been crying on leddit and 4chin and everywhere else about these things forever.

It's just now that the reports are bad and you can palpably perceive the game being dead in-game and Yoshi is apologizing at the start of every single live letter that it's becoming obvious.

And when it all comes down to it, nothing that anyone expects to change will actually change. Any time FFXIV has had to change something, they do it in the shittiest way possible. Few oldfags are still around when they used to talk about an "upcoming way to make the long ARR story digestible" and their big answer for this proudly came in Stormblood in the form of fucking paid boosts lmao.

To top it all off though, there is this misguided notion amongst the community that hearing English content creators say shit somehow validates these complaints in the eyes of Square, but it really doesn't.
