growing up my dad's idea of a friday or saturday night was having 4 to 6 of his male friends over (very rarely some bimbo) and they'd drink, smoke, and play poker in the kitchen and gradually get more unhinged and wasted until one guy storms out, these guys could be entertaining depending on the night or flat out bullies and sometimes dad would practically act like we weren't even there but he never made us go to our rooms, anyways its a really fond memory and you could sense a great emptiness a few years later when my dad no longer saw most of these guys, after that he basically only went disc golfing with one of those buddies
