Geo's problems get solved at the end of SF3. He turns out to be another chosen one that's given the cool armor, saves his dad and lives happily. Solo, much like Sonia, is the one with real struggles and losses, the one who could relate to her the most, they dont' have magical plot armor unlike the MC.
