This is one silly part. David immediately decides that he is better and Weyland is lesser because David is "immortal". Why wouldn't that make David at least be thankful and happy his progenitor made him even if he'll die off eventually? This series for some reason loves this idea that if creators aren't immortal then they're shit from ass. The people from the first movie got suicidally depressed to find out the engineers could die. Another thing though, no machine they've ever made is immortal. They need constant maintenance and there's no reason to believe David will continue on forever. His hard drive will eventually be fucked and transferring him to a new one will just be a new David. But he acts like he's some God-Being and we're supposed to be impressed by him
