I do good things for people because I care about them, but am I the only one that has a sense of duty and obligation in current day? I don't think "I help people out because I want to, but I would be doing nothing wrong if I neglected everyone and was never kind or helpful ever again because others deserve absolutely nothing anyway." I'm nice to people because I want to rather than just because of obligation, but I also feel that I would be doing something wrong were I to behave in any other way. In that sense I do, in fact, owe them. There's a difference between saying that you have the right to make good choices and bad choices in regard to how you treat people, and another thing entirely to say that there's no such thing as bad choices because you're free as a bird do whatever you want nobody deserves anything lol
