Hokuto no Ken has some nice stuff here and there but you can tell Tetsuo Hara back then was more focused on making each weekly chapter look like something out of a Frank Frazetta painting more than focusing on the action looking dynamic.
I haven't read all of Souten no Ken yet but he probably improved over time to focus on that stuff though, especially since he did not need a weekly schedule anymore. He also never really got worse at drawing.
