Toby mentions a lot of interesting stuff in the Undertale 6th anniversary stream that was kind of overshadowed by the shadow drop of chapter 2. Most interestingly, apparently Deltarune originally was going to have an entirely human cast in the Light World, and everyone became monsters in the Dark World. But this changed due to the connection with Undertale. Makes me wonder how much the Undertale connection affected major things in the game like that.
