He has an audience, he has a voice, and I think it's more mainstream than most people think. He's being very careful and cautious about troons, never morally attacking them as troons, just holding them up to regualr human standards, and pointing out how specific online trooms are terrible self-centered people. Everything is quite calculated. You can't make a case he's being bigoted since it's so carefully selective.
