Anon, there is a prophecy glass for the angel that shows a completely black screen, and are disturbed by how otherwordly it looks. I want you to think, what does your screen reflect when it is dark?
If that does not convince you, also consider the scene in the light world segment where we literally hide under the angel outfit. Symbolism does not get any more blatant than that.
