Why do Spider-Man fans constantly complain about Peter being an immature loser that can't find a wife, when the entire appeal of the character from its inception has always been the carefree, teenager fun aspects of it.

Status quo is what sells, Spider-Man isn't Spider-Man if he has a wife and kids.
