I remember someone here recently saying that the original engineer in Team Fortress Classic was designed for players that didn't want to see as much action, and wanted to micro-manage instead.
That makes sense to me, but I can't find anything stating that was the actual design philosophy, not in the TF2 dev commentary either.
Does anyone know if that was real. or where there's proof of it?
Or was it just a guess?
