I used to be all about Science, everything had to be backed by Science but it was in front of my face this whole time, or well behind my face.

The brain is the most complex thing in the universe, we have no understanding of how the brain creates consciousness, Science can't explain it yet it exists so it stands to reason there are more things Science is yet to explain and the more you look the more you find.

SR might be one of those things, Personally I have felt a massive difference in stopping constantly cooming, my energy levels are higher, my motivation to do things is higher, my motivation to talk to friends and family is higher, I can approach any woman when I couldn't before. I'm not going to lie my urges are strong right now but some self talk and meditation can help drastically remove those urges from the front of my mind.

What I'm doing along side SR.
Working out every other day with 25 Push ups 25 Sit ups 25 Pull ups 25 Squats 3 Km run, this will increase in 3 months to 75 then to 100 etc etc, Strength training 1/2 a week if I feel like I need it (I lift shit at work)

Supplements, now I can't stress this enough that your body is a machine that needs certain things to work at max efficiency, I take Multivitamin (Everything), Omega-3 Fish oil, Biotin, Creatine, Magnesium Glycinate, Lions Mane, Vit D3 + K3, Ashwaganda and Collagen.

MENTALITY, it is important, maybe the most important if you're not doing anything else than focus on this, you need to have a hunger, you need to want to improve, it's all good saying you're doing it to improve but you need to have the hunger to improve to change who you are, disregard your old self, be disgusted with your old self become someone you always wanted to be.
