I get what you're trying to say, but I don't really buy it.
To use your example, I didn't know this was a lion's den. I went out in search of a cat. And then the cat approaches me and invites me to it's home before revealing it's a lion.
Remember, the group was still searching for Amo, and she approached them first. They were upfront about their intentions of asking her for information, and she seemed to be open to giving it for them. She used the excuse of the poisoned air to bring them back to the tower. She also TOLD THEM to remove their masks once in the tower, cause it wasn't 'friendly,' which is blatantly her preparing them to be vulnerable to her power. Then once in her room, Rudo tried to get the info he wanted, but she immediately derailed it to asking about the kinds of boys/girls they like. They just calmly explain that they're just here for the info, and the Amo immediately loses her shit about them trying to 'use' her, as if she didn't know they wanted to ask her about specific information.

Sorry, but no matter how you look at it, everything about the situation looks premeditated on Amo's part.
