Reminder male and nonbinary are not mutually exclusive.
Male = their biological sex
Non-binary = their gender identity
So Kris can be male, just not a man. Most enbies are pretty understanding when someone uses binary pronouns as most people will naturally assume they are cis of the gender they most appear like.
That being said this doesn't mean you shouldn't make an effort to use their preferred pronouns or go out of your way to deliberately misgender them
