I actually agree with this aspect, I don't contest it but there are some bits and pieces that make the assertion that Hope's Peak is fiction shaky.

Though I'm still less willing to argue those points than how people insist V3 is just a self contained meta fiction that isn't even 'real' to itself which is what most people try to say as opposed to what you're doing which is suggesting that V3 is 'fake' in that it's a pre-written story that happens in an actual setting which I fully agree with - it's just the details I disagree with so we really agree more than disagree
